SERIFOS BEACHES
YOU CAN'T WAIT TO DIVE IN
Convenient to reach and in large numbers, Serifos has 60 beaches!!!
We present some of them and leave it up to you to discover the countless others.
AGIOS SOSTIS
Long sandy beach reachable via a dirt road that takes you near the Hotel Rizes. Some trees shade a small part of it.
There are no refreshment points.
The small church of the same name perched on the rocks is very picturesque.
GANÈMA
It is located on the southern coast of Serifos, it is a horseshoe-shaped bay of fine soft sand, pebbles; a long clump of trees shades the back.
Ganema Beach is part of Koutalas Bay, as is Vagia Beach. It is only 1 km from Koutalas beach and about 7 km from Livadi, the port.
In Vagia and Ganema you will find a couple of taverns where you can eat and enjoy a cold drink.
KALÓ AMPÈLI
Fine sand beach located on the south coast and surrounded by rocks sculpted by atmospheric events.
From the village of Ramos, take the road to Vagia, Ganema and Koutalas and, after about 1 km, on the right you take a path that can be covered on foot in 20 minutes.
There are no refreshment points or natural shade.
KARAVAS
Long beach of pebbles and sand that can be reached:
- with a private boat
- walking in about 90 minutes along a path that starts from Sikamia heading west towards Agia Thekla
- walking in about 70 minutes along a path that starts from Agia Thekla in an east direction, but the ascent is arduous due to the steep slope
KOUTALÁS
It is located on the south coast of Serifos, in the bay of the same name, in the direction of Mega Livadi, immediately after the beaches of Vagia and Ganema which share the same bay.
The seaside settlement and images of the mining history of Serifos around the beach, the mines' carts, tunnels, tracks and loading ladder make up a living open-air museum that is worth visiting.
The left side of the beach is pebbled, while on the right it is sandy, with some tamarisk trees shading part of it.
LIVADAKIA
Livadakia Beach is one of the most popular beaches of Serifos, located on the south-western side of the island, under the Chora, in addition to the sand and transparent sea, it offers many services for those who love comfort: taverns and accommodation within walking distance.
In the same area, a short distance away, there are also the beaches of Livadi and Avlemonas
LIVÁDI
This beach would be enough to satisfy any visitor.
Livadi is the friendliest and largest beach on the island and it is right there, within reach in the port bay.
Long and sandy, it is bathed by a beautiful sea that slopes slowly and full of taverns, coffee shops, mini markets and other services.
PSILÍ ÁMMOS
Sandy beach on the east coast of the island; the sea has beautiful bright turquoise colours, it can be easily reached by car or scooter.
A few trees provide natural shade during the sunniest hours.There are two taverns “Stefanakos” and “Manolis” where you can enjoy excellent local food at a good price.
